Terms of Use

The plain-English rules for using this site.

The plain-English terms for using britetechlifestyle.com. Using the site means you are happy with what follows.

Who runs this site

Brite Tech Lifestyle is run by Dean Britter in the United Kingdom. Questions about anything here go to hello@britetechlifestyle.com.

The writing and images

The articles, guides, photography and brand marks on this site are mine. You are welcome to quote a short passage with a link back — that is how the web is supposed to work. Republishing whole pieces, or feeding them wholesale into a product, is not on without asking first. Ask; I am reasonable.

Reviews are experience, not advice

Everything here is what happened when I used something myself. It is honest, but it is one person's experience in one household, and your results will differ. Nothing on this site is professional, financial, medical or legal advice. Wearables and health gadgets in particular measure things approximately — treat their numbers as a rough guide and speak to a doctor about anything that matters.

Prices and availability

Prices, specifications and availability change constantly and can be wrong by the time you read a piece. Check the seller before you buy.

Books, digital products and services

  • Books and digital products are sold through Amazon and Etsy. They are my own products, but the sale is with that platform: their terms, their payment handling, their returns policy. I never see your card details.
  • Studio services are quoted and agreed separately in writing before any work starts. The prices on the services page are indicative starting points, not a binding offer.

Links to other sites

Where I link out, it is because it is useful. I have no control over those sites and cannot be responsible for what they do or say.

Availability

I aim to keep the site up and correct, but I do not guarantee it will always be available or error-free. If you spot something wrong, tell me and I will fix it.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud, because the law does not allow that and it would be wrong anyway. Beyond that, I am not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from using the site or acting on something you read here.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
